Top-Tier Children’sHealth Hospital
Overview
Our client, a renowned Children’s Health Hospital, is globally recognized for its exceptional medical care and expertise. They approached us with a unique challenge: to create a concept prototype for their Global Services microsite. This microsite aimed to engage prospective patients (parents), embassies (with the ability to refer new patients), and healthcare providers who visit the hospital for training or to refer a patient. Our mission was to develop a user-centered prototype that catered to the diverse needs and cultural sensitivities of these audiences while delivering a seamless digital experience.
Our Rapid-Prototype Process
With a tight timeline of less than a month, we kicked off our approach with a strong commitment to user-centered design principles. We understood the importance of knowing our potential clients' personas, cultural contexts in healthcare decisions, their tech access, and the crucial information they needed.
To make sure our prototype served our diverse audience effectively, we conducted extensive user research. We dived deep into the unique needs of three key groups: parents seeking healthcare for their children, embassy representatives handling patient referrals, and healthcare providers looking for training opportunities. This research formed the foundation of our design strategy.
Considering our client's global reach, we adopted a multi-language design approach. This ensured that the microsite was user-friendly for people from various language backgrounds, breaking down language barriers in accessing vital healthcare information.
Due to the urgency of the project, we used rapid-prototyping tools to speed up the design process. This agile approach allowed us to create quick prototypes, gathering valuable user feedback early on.
Our expert team transformed user research into high-quality digital designs. These designs not only looked great but also showcased the functionality and user experience of the microsite. Each element was carefully designed to connect with our target audience, building trust and credibility.
A crucial part of our approach was creating a content strategy tailored to the needs of parents, embassies, and healthcare providers. We presented information clearly, concisely, and with cultural sensitivity, helping our diverse audience make informed decisions.
Results
Our collaborative approach, deeply rooted in a commitment to a user-centric philosophy, produced remarkable outcomes. In a swift timeline of under two weeks, we successfully delivered a fully functional prototype, allowing the client to visualize the concept and gather vital feedback from stakeholders. This microsite concept resonated profoundly with prospective patients, embassies, and healthcare providers, seamlessly catering to their unique requirements and cultural sensitivities. Moreover, our multi-language design approach ensured that the microsite became accessible to individuals from diverse linguistic backgrounds, effectively erasing language barriers. Our content strategy played a pivotal role in streamlining crucial information, making it readily available to users, thereby empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions with ease.
Conclusion
In summary, our human-centered approach to creating a concept prototype for the Global Services microsite of a top-tier Children’s Health Hospital resulted in a user-centric, culturally sensitive, and accessible digital experience. This case study highlights how our commitment to understanding and addressing the specific needs of our client's diverse audience led to a successful and transformative project outcome.
